Your Right to Data Deletion

At BizAt, we respect your right to control your personal data. In accordance with global privacy regulations including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal information from our systems.

This page outlines the methods available to request data deletion and what you can expect during the process.

Methods to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Through Your Dashboard (Recommended)

  1. Log into your BizAt account at bizat.ai/login
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
  4. Click "Request Data Deletion"
  5. Confirm your identity by entering your password
  6. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - [Your Workspace URL]"

Include the following information in your email:

  • Your full legal name
  • The email address registered with your BizAt account
  • Your workspace URL (e.g., your-company.bizat.com)
  • Approximate date of account creation
  • Any specific data categories you wish to have deleted (optional)

Option 3: Facebook Data Deletion (For End Customers)

If you are an end customer who interacted with a BizAt-powered chatbot on a merchant's Facebook page and wish to have your conversation data deleted:

  1. Visit the merchant's dedicated data deletion page at [merchant-slug].bizat.com/data-deletion
  2. Follow the instructions on that page
  3. Alternatively, send a message to the merchant's Facebook page with the text "DELETE MY DATA"

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your verified deletion request, the following data categories will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password hash, business name, and workspace URL
  • Conversation History: All messages, chat logs, and conversation metadata
  • Customer Data: Leads, orders, contact information collected through chatbots
  • Product Data: Product catalogs, Q&A items, and associated embeddings
  • Integration Data: Connected social media page tokens and access credentials
  • Analytics Data: Usage metrics, performance reports, and aggregated insights
  • Social Media Data: Scheduled posts, published content metadata, and post analytics
  • Billing Records: Payment history and transaction logs (subject to legal retention requirements)

Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained even after deletion for the following purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with applicable laws (e.g., tax records for 7 years)
  • Fraud Prevention: Data necessary to prevent, detect, or investigate fraud or security incidents
  • Legal Claims: Data needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
  • Anonymized Data: Data that has been fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to you

Processing Timeline

  • Acknowledgment: Within 48 hours of receiving your request
  • Identity Verification: Within 5 business days
  • Data Deletion: Within 30 calendar days of verified request
  • Confirmation: You will receive email confirmation upon completion

If we require an extension (e.g., due to complexity or volume), we will notify you within the initial 30-day period with an explanation and updated timeline (maximum 60 additional days).

Verification of Identity

To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing deletion requests. This may include:

  • Confirming the email address matches the one on file
  • Requesting additional information about your account usage
  • Asking you to confirm access by logging into your account
